Born in Barcelona in 1983, Joan Miro grew up to be one of the most famous artists of all time. Also since Miro was influenced by and was a part of all the movements of Modern Art, this involvement turned him into an important figure in European art during an investigational age. ... Within a year from 1929 to 1930, Miro began to take interest in the object as such, in the form of collages. ... Aside from building surrealist sculptures, Miro also experimented with many other artistic forms, such as engraving, lithography, water colors, pastels, and painting over copper to get the richest textural and tonal results. ... Resulting from his creative talent and hard work, in 1976 the Joan Miro Foundation Centre of Contemporary Art Study was officially opened in the city of Barcelona and in 1979, four years before his death in 1983; he was named Doctor Honoris Causa by the University of Barcelona.
Joan Miro’s exceptional accomplishments and devotion to art had persuaded me to write about him. ... My absolute favorite painting done by Miro is one of his masterpieces entitled Wheel of fire across the blue sky.
