Throughout time, females have been looked upon as nothing more than sex symbols. ... Until women take the time to stop and think about the fact that they are worrying too much about impressing the male and too little about where they stand in society, women will be looked at in the same way, sex symbols and nothing more. ... Barbie® dolls have given females the idea of what our society considers valuable and beautiful, causing young girls to have a mind-set of what they should look like as they get older. ... Things such as eating disorders can develop, females spend thousands of dollars on plastic surgery, and they stress themselves trying to look perfect when there is really no such thing as perfect unless you are –according to society-- physically a Barbie® doll.
Females of today’s society are brainwashed on what they think they should look like.
