William Mullaney Capital Punishment
One of the most talked about issues in the world today is Capital Punishment. Capital Punishment, or the death penalty is no longer used in Britain as it was abolished in 1970. Capital Punishment used to be one of the most commonly used penalties throughout the world and is still used in the United States. ... There are both sides two the argument with one saying that it is a deterrent and prevents future crime but on the other hand people say that its is not an effective deterrent and that it is an uncivilised way of punishment.
People in favour say that Capital punishment should be brought back to Britain because nowadays there is just so much crime happening and by using capital punishment as a sentence, it will prevent future crimes happening. Many people against Capital Punishment say this is a false statement. They believe that it isn’t an effective deterrent as other countries that use capital punishment have just as much crime as they had before.
