i like fat people fat people are cool they jiggle and stufff that is cool. I eat dead babys that is fun to do and stuff like that. Obviosuly the person does not know how to write an essay dick.Jan. 28, 2004 Elder 2 Elder Abuse The American Medical Association defines elder abuse and neglect as physical, psychological or financial mistreatment of an elderly person. It may or may not be intentional. Most often adults will suffer several forms of abuse and neglect at the same time (Coastal, 1999, p.3). Financial abuse is another abuse the elderly are frequently victims of. Strangers are often the perpetrators of this abuse. Family members are most often the abusers outside of healthcare workers, with men most often being the abuser ( Coastal, 1999, p. 8). An elder living in a nursing home with a roommate loses a lot of rights, especially if their roommate is very unaccommodating. This can lead to abusive situations. One resident maybe asked to make many sacrifices for the sake of the other one, leading to neglect. About four to six percent of older adults are found to be abused, neglected or financially exploited. Most abuse comes from a spouse, with adult children being the second prevalent abuser.
