A summary of “What is the nature of the Creator?” from Chapter 1 of “Islam the Natural Way”, written by Abdul Wahid Hamid
The Creator has to be of a different nature from everything that has been created- everything that He has created. The reason for this being that if He is of the same nature as that that He has created; it would mean that He would have to have a beginning in time as well as an end, and would therefore require another Creator or maker.
Also, having a beginning in time would make Him temporal, which would contradict the nature of a Creator, as a Creator is not temporal but eternal. ...
If the Creator is eternal and everlasting, then all of His qualities would need to be eternal and everlasting.
