Evita Lopez Sammy Sosa Samuel Peralta Sosa ,also known as Sammy Sosa, was born on November 12, 1968 in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic. Sammy has been playing major league baseball for fifteen years now. His first year he split between the Texas Rangers and the Chicago White Sox. He then played two full years with the White Sox and he was then signed to the Chicago Cubs who he has been playing with for the past 12 years. He still has two more years on this seventy two million dollar contract with Chicago. Sammy is only one of seven children. His father dies when Sammy was only seven years old.
