This was my first conference as President and during the conference, we welcomed two new members of the executive committee, Erling Barth and Joachim Möller as well as two members who were re-elected, Nina Smith and Giorgio Brunello. We owe a particular debt of gratitude to our leaving members, Irena Kotowska and John Treble.
