Why did you choose psychology? In elementory school, I was diagnosed with A.D.D and dyslexia. Through the years while dealing with my learning differences, I became fascinated with the many facets of the human brain. I became interested in exploring the different ways in which people learn and process information. In high school, I took my first psychology class and was completely engrossed. Unfortunately, there weren’t any higher levels of psychology classes available until I attended college at North Texas, where I graduated with a bachelor of applied science degree, focusing on psychology, sociology and criminology. What do you plan to do with your degree? My aspiration is to go into private practice. I would like to concentrate on family counseling and helping people learn to deal with their learning differences. After struggling with my own learning disabilities, I feel that I can help others deal with related differences.
