Popular media has developed at an amazing rate in the last twenty years. With the emergence of the innovative Internet media, media patterns have diversified dramatically. Emails, file transfer protocol (FTP), Usenet newsgroups, and the World Web Wide (WWW) make up of an invisible network that transmits information speedily and makes communication easily. However, since the Internet is a free forum, some problems inevitably come out along with it. Cyber crime, Internet fraud and pornography negatively impact our learning, morals, and education. However, we still cannot accept the Internet censorship mainly due to the negative effects of language, the Internet censorship abuse and the arguments of protesters. But, they are not sound to prove that we should reject the Internet censorship. In fact, we need the Internet control to prevent online fraud, cyber crime and indecent content. So, the Internet censorship is necessary. Many people protest against the Internet control. They argue that the Internet censorship not only violates human rights but also blocks the flow of information. Authorities have no right to wipe out offensive content determined by them on the Internet. The core controversial issue involved here is what the standard of morally harmful is. Although it is hard to establish the criteria, we have the basic knowledge about what is morally wrong or right. For example, we all know killing an innocent people is wrong. Slavery is wrong. Stealing is wrong. So, we also have the moral sense about right and wrong on the Internet. Stealing Internet bank accounts is wrong. Posting child pornography online is wrong. And, distributing virus to attack others?PCs is also wrong. So, we can determine what information is harmful or devastating to threaten Internet users. Actually, there is sufficient evidence to support the Internet censorship. The Internet is just like an intangible society. Anonymous members communicate with each other by tapping, searching and sharing. As a free realm, the Internet unavoidably has short backs. Account fraud, credit card fraud, and auction fraud result in the huge loss of transactions via the Net. Cyber crooks sneak into online bank systems and filter a huge amount of money from online bank accounts. Hackers and crackers use PCs to launch attacks through the Internet, bombarding business computer systems and freezing the online services.
