Cliche
A very good example of a movie that was not clichéd was the 1996 film, Scream. Before Scream was released, the horror genre was dieing and this was mainly due to the fact that many of the horror movies are the same. “Sidney Prescott”, a character in Scream says “It’s about some dumb girl who runs up the stairs when she should be running out the front door.” Her quote is an example of the repeating elements in horror movies. Scream, however was extremely different. Scream proved to be better then the rest because the group of teenagers who were portrayed in the movie weren’t one of those people who ran up the stairs instead of out the front door.
