Is society and its various influences the primary force in our development? There has always been a large controversy one the nature versus nurture issue. After, doing research on this issue, I agree with the nurturing debate. A nurturing environment makes us understand who we are and who we become. I believe that a child’s behavior is learned depending on the environment they live in. If a child watches a television show then they are prone to act out what they see. Children through a process called imitation. Children who watch an action packed cartoon, are more apt to be hostile towards others. Whereas, a child who watches an educational program is more motivated to learn. A television show such as “Barney” will help a child learn new words and concepts.
