Media- Study of music videos.
Music videos are made to promote bands/singers and their music. To do this some bands use lures like sex, glamour and drugs to attract their audience’s attention, whilst others only try to sell their music through their ability to play.
The choice of music videos that we studied came together by individual pupils suggesting particular tracks as a result we have quite a range as members of the group have very different tastes in music. ... The reason for this is so we can have a fair outlook on comparing music videos. ... This is presented using both long shots and reaction shots to show his expressions as he reacts to the development that is meant to be improving him and his music. ... Next is the target range to bring in the gangster idea and build on the idea of physical prowess, then finally there is the club scene which shows the culture that many teens want to be included in as they feel a sense of well being and safety and belonging in the music.

In both videos women are shown as sex objects with low angle shots of their bodies, mainly the bum, midriff and breasts.
