In modern world, computer technology plays a very important role; it changes every aspect of life. There are a lot of new professions that have emerged as result of computer technology. As a result, conventional language has been used in many fields of computer technology, including Information Technology. Information Technology is the field that involved computer technology associated with business and network systems. The terms that are used in IT are very broad. In addition, metaphors are being used commonly that most people did not even realize. By definition, metaphor is a figure of speech in which term that ordinarily designates an object or idea is used to designate a dissimilar object of idea in order to suggest comparison or analogy. Example of metaphors used in information system are bus, ring, and star that used to describe different kinds of network topologies.
