... In today’s business world, the ability to identify and cope with conflict, change, and development within the organization is a necessity for any manager. Conflict can arise from many different situations, such as incompatibility, lack of resources or power distribution . However, a good manager will have the ability to use the conflict to their advantage to show control over the situation and employees. Change in the business world is also not necessarily a bad thing. As it will be expanded upon further in this report, change in the business world can very well be seen an advantageous entity.
Conflict in any business or organization is inevitable. ... Although inevitable, conflict can be minimized or resolved in most cases than not. The most common ways that give opening to the start of conflicts include poor communication, dissatisfaction with management style, lack of openness, or change in leadership. ... For example a conflict may be destructive when it takes away from the attention on important tasks, when cooperation between people or groups is reduced, or when it leads to reckless behaviour between employees or even with customers.
