Daniel Haskell English 101 Description Essay Feb. 02, 2003 Dad’s Buddy I will never forget that grin my son Joshua had, that went from ear to ear on his first day of his flying lessons. Driving from our home in South China to the air field in Sidney, my son could not stop smiling along with that little sparkle in his eye, you could tell that he couldn’t wait to get there, couldn’t set still for more than a couple minutes at a time. We had pulled off the paved road and on to a long dirt road which was very dusty and full of pot holes, so you had to drive very slow. It’s a beautiful location to fly airplanes because of the long flat fields on both sides of the road. It was about mid July, sun was shining bright and a gentle breeze blowing from the west.
