Hey….I’m Frau Doctor, also known as Jenn. The term Frau Doctor comes from the fact that, in Austria, where my mother and all of my maternal family are from, if you marry a doctor, instead of being called Mrs. So and so, you are literally called Mrs. Doctor. It’s kind of like that Brady Bunch episode where Marsha falls in love with Dr. Vogel and has a dream where she becomes Mrs. Marsha Dentist. My story, and the story of the Frau Doctor’s Breakup Vodkas begin in June 2002. I had split up with my husband one year before, and we had both moved to San Diego. Life was going along just swimmingly; I had a job that I loved, a nice place to live, and I had kept my promise to my friend Chris that I wouldn’t become involved with someone, seriously, for at least a year. And then…. I FELL IN LOVE. The wonderful kind, the horrible kind. The kind of love I like to refer to as SMUG LOVE.
