	Nursing Essay January 4, 2004 My first exposure to women’s health was working in Ob/Gyn private office. I remember most vividly a patient with a broken finger who came in for a pregnancy test, which was positive. Her next visit, which was 4 weeks later, she came in with a cast on her arm up to her shoulder. I didn’t think too much of it, we talked, she laughed but she didn’t look as happy as most newly pregnant mom’s have looked in the office. The office protocol was monthly visits until the last two months then it is every other week and every week after that until the woman delivers. Upon her next visit she hobbled in with crutches no cast but a splint. Approximate Word count = 475 Approximate Pages = 1.9 (250 words per page double spaced)
