As a High School student, time is extremely valuable, but is hard to decipher where to use it. I’ve found that it is very time consuming to receive honors for good grades and achievements, participate in community and school activities, hold a part time job, while trying to plan my future; but balancing my time between these everyday situations is what makes us who we are, and I believe can help lead us to a career that best suites us. I have heard college students say that the honors received in high school make no difference in your college life, I believe they are wrong. I am personally involved in Who’s Who among American Students, the top 5% of academic scoring students in the US. A teacher nominated me for this, not because she liked me, but because my grades and participation showed that I deserved this honor.
