Gandhi used the idea of nonviolence and revernce for all life to fight against the British rule. By him using the power of love, he believed people could convert even the worst badguy to become good. When protests led to violence, he would be so upset that he would fast,pray, and call on patriots to practice self control. Later he called for boycotts against British goods and textiles, and urged Indians to wear only the clothes they made out of the cotten they grew. This hurt the economy of Britain because they didn't earn any money and what's the point of controlling a region where you don't receive money.
