The Hatchet This novel had the biggest impact on my life that any book that I have ever read has had. As I get further into this review I think that you will realize why it had such a great affect on me. If you would be kind enough to follow me into this journey I’m sure you will enjoy yourself and who knows you may just find something new about yourself that you never knew was there. As this book started young Brian was starting a journey north from his home in New York to Alaska to visit with his dad which was recently divorced from his mother. The plane ride started out good but Brian was scared because the tiny single engine aircraft was being tossed all over because of the massive amount of turbulence.
