Alacati(Agrilia), a unique Mediterranean town on the Western coast of Turkey, which has been famous for its architecture and windmills for over 150 years.Alacatư has a crystal clear water, consistent and steady wind. years.Now it has made its name in the world of windsurfing Discovery and Development of Alacati as The Turkish Windsurf Area: In 1977, there was six windsurfers who was trying to discover the best windy area in Cesme.At the end,they found the Alacati bay which is incredibly interesting place, a paradise waiting to be developed. So by early 1980's, the six developped the land on both side of the bay. The six wanted to develop a first class holiday village.But extreme wind conditions in winter are the biggest obstacle and the cause of a short touristic season in Cesme But extreme wind conditions became the biggest attraction for Alacati with its perfect windsurfing conditions.
