1. The different nationalities were distinguished by the way the characters acted towards each other. Stereotyping and how they acted made the differences wither everyone in the movie. 2. The Vichy-French and did whatever the Germans said to do. Free-French was sneaky in a way, but would do what needed to be done to get their country back. The Americans were portrayed as material and money rich. The hierarchic ranks of the people were what made so many underdogs sneaking around. 3. Rick’s café was what represented America. Rick was American, and America has a lot of diversities, thus the café had a lot of diverse people.
