There are many things that a child experiences throughout his or her childhood that are considered normal. What a lot of people forget about are the children who experience the worst extremes of something, such as a child who was orphaned, in several foster homes and/or abused by foster parents. It just seems like they become lost in the cracks. These experiences can cause social and emotional disorders that the child has to deal with and learn about as he/she grow older. In the movie Good Will Hunting, the main character, Will Hunting, had a horrible childhood. He was a orphan, shuffled in and out of several foster homes where he was brutally abused by his foster parents, and now he has to deal with the consequences of these experiences. Since Will was a orphan, he was greatly affected even into his adulthood. One effect of being a orphan is the fear of abandonment. Chuckie and Will were best friends. They do everything together, and consider each other as their “family.” Chuckie knew how talented and smart Will was and wanted Will to make something out of his life.
