Would you choose to be blind or deaf, or both?!!! Talk about the Miracle Worker, a play that was written by William Gibson. After finding out that Helen was blind and deaf that was caused by her disease, she had became the most tragically problem for her family. Annie, Helen’s teacher came to the Keller’s family to help Helen out. The main question was if Helen can be teach and “HOW CAN A DEAF AND BLIND GIRL BE ABLE TO LEARN?!!!” The way that Gibson gain & hold the audience’s attention, necessary background, and central conflict are in many ways. Gibson had started the play with a very dramatic situation, like when Kate had find out that Helen can’t see or hear, which scare her so much that she gave out a loud scream (220). Another scene which gave out a very humors situation is when Annie was lock in the room by Helen when Annie first arrive.
