Eric Spooner Per 2 Mrs. Montesanto Guns and Roses Guns and Roses is one of the greatest bands ever. In 1989 Guns and Roses came out with the cd “GN’R Lies”, which sold over 20 million copies. Their music reaches people and makes them feel as if they were talking to them. Guns and Roses is also famous for connecting music videos together with a main theme. In the three videos, “Don’t Cry”, “November Rain”, and “Estranged” Axl uses the symbol of water to represent his unique feelings, connecting all three videos. In “Don’t Cry” Stephanie, axl’s girl friend, is drowning. In desperation she is pulling Axl down with her while Axl is trying to fight for his life. The water in this scene symbolizes the drowning of their relationship. When people watch this video they can see that Stephanie is fine with how the relationship is going.
