The article 9/11 One Year Later: A Psychotherapist Reflect on His Experiences at Ground Zero tells how the tragedy of 9/11 effected a psychotherapist's life. He recollects first hand, of how after hearing of a friends good experience while helping with the disaster, the need to go to New York City and try to help out. Once he arrived in Manhattan he was introduced to the openness of New Yorkers around him. And how such a major tragedy has changed people. Before the tragedy strangers on the subway in New York wouldn't have started up a conversation with eachother, but after September 11th people began to open up to eachother more since they had all been through the same experience.
