All Eyes On Me

“All Eyes On Me” By rapping songs, writing poems, and releasing movies, Tupac Shakur made millions, and gained millions of fans. But, because of someone’s ignorance, stupidity, or greed this growing talent is gone. On September 13, 1996, he was supposedly shot and killed over the so called “East Coast, West Coast rivalry”. It is still is not sure if Tupac is dead or alive, or who the person was who shot him. During his life he has made 4 chart topping albums, and also has starred in movies such as Juice, Poetic Justice, Above the Rim, Bullet, Gridlock’d, and Gang Related. Who was the person who killed Tupac, and stopped his talent from growing? And what type of motive would anyone have to kill him? Afeni Shakur (mother of Tupac Shakur) was a very political woman, and she cared about her rights very much. She dropped out of high school and began to party with North Carolina gang members. Later, she moved to Brooklyn and became very interested in politics. She became a part of the Black Panther Party, and fell in love with an organizer named Lumumba. She became enraged with the government and began giving speeches about killing “the pigs” and over throwing the government, which led to her to be arrested. Pregnant in jail, she was bailed by her husband Lumumba. Once Afeni was bailed, she told him that the baby wasn’t his, and not to long after they were divorced. After getting divorced Afeni’s life went downhill, her bail was revoked and she was imprisoned in the Women’s House of Detention in Greenwich Village. By the time Tupac was born on June 16, 1971, Afeni had defended herself in court and was found innocent on 156 accounts. She made new life in the Bronx of New York. She found a steady job as a paralegal, and she tried to raise her son to respect the value of an education. Tupac ended up growing up without a father, because his real father was sentenced to 60 years in prison for murdering someone, and as time passed that tortured him. His loneliness began to tear him apart, and that lead him to begin writing love songs, and poetry.
