In the beginning of the reading, the chapter starts to explain in details on how this course is going to be evaluated with emphasis on some of the required criteria for the portfolio such as organization, claim and argument, conventions and others. ... I also think that the grading method the course implies is fair to all the students as it gives equal chances for everyone to improve their work and grade throughout the quarter. ...
The second part of the reading introduces me to the program policies of the course and I agree with almost everything. ... So I really hope that this course will be able to help and prepare myself for a more challenging type of essays. ... That is why I believe that the system used to grade the course here is much more efficient.
Although the course evaluation and approach is slightly different from the high school, all the differences and reasons have been discussed in details in the book. ... I believe there is no reason one could say that they could not excel the course if they follow all the guidelines and work hard.
