The plant I have chosen to study is the ever-popular begonia. Begonias are part of the Begoniaceae family. There are more than 1,00 species of begonias around the world. Some begonias are grown for their leaves and others are grown for their beautiful flowers. The colours of begonias range from white, pink, red, yellow, and purple. Begonias are divided into three major groups according to their root structure; fibrous roots, for bedding plants, rhizomatous roots, for their leaves, and tuberous roots, for the large colourful flowers. Begonias are mainly found in Central and South America.
