Being There

is an average interesting book. The story starts out with the main protagonist Chance, a simple, unintelligent and middle-aged gardener who works for an old man. Chance has never stepped outside from his garden and has never seen how the outside world looks like. After the old man’s death, Chance is told to leave the house, because there was no document, which described his status in the house. One thing is sure: all he knows of the world he learned from watching television. For the first time, he was stepping outside from the garden, which was in Washington, DC. By chance, he ends up in a small accident with a rich woman's (EE) car and ends up at her husband's grand home.
