If you could think of one profession that uses computers as much as engineers or programmers, it would probably be scientists. Scientists have benefited tremendously through the invention of computers. The use of computers in science is endless. With computers many catastrophes can be avoided. For example the disaster that happened at the Three Mile Island nuclear plant could have been avoided if only computers had monitored the temperature of the nuclear reactor.
