On the cool fall night of October 30th, 1986, Francis Carisio and JoAnne Jannaccio Carisio had just sat down to a dish of Chinese food. JoAnne started feeling a great deal of contractions. This was it, the day these proud parents had been waiting for for nine strenuous months. JoAnne was rushed to Waterbury Hospital at approximately 7:12 on that evening. After about four long hours of labor, exactly 11:37(only twenty-three minutes away from being born on Halloween) a baby boy by the name of Francis Michael Carisio was born. The name Francis is of latin origin meaning “Frenchman”. At birth he weighed five-pounds eleven ounces and was twenty- one inches long. Francis Michael was the second of two for JoAnne, following his older half-brother David Fish.
