How does Shakespeare portray Iago as being manipulative and evil othello

Shakespeare portrays Iago as a scheming and vindictive character who has few solid motivations for his extreme actions.
In the play Iago makes various soliloquies, these give us a good insight into what he is really thinking or planning as he does not lie to himself. When Iago talks about Othello behind his back and in his soliloquy in act one scene three, he refers to him as “The Moor”. Referring to Othello in another name makes it seem less personal to Iago. ... Iago says “I hate the Moor”, as Iago insults Othello in his own thoughts, it shows us that he truly does hate him.      Iago takes action even if there is no evidence, he acts on suspicion. This is evident in act one scene three were he talks about how Othello has “ ’twixt my sheets”. He suspects that Othello has been sleeping with Emilia, he has no evidence but he acts as though he does.
Iago also uses satanic language often, “hell and night”. Iago knows of Othello’s “free and open nature” and plans to take advantage of it.
