Describe Christian teachings about Marriage

Christians believe that marriage is something holy, good and pure. ... ” Whoever wrote this thought that marriage was very important as they put this phrase right in the middle of the story on creation- the very first part of the Old Testament.
Though, once in marriage there are still rules- for instance you cannot be unfaithful to you husband or wife- commit adultery. ... These are three of the rules of marriage stated in the Old Testament: Marriage is life giving, you must not commit adultery and marriage is part of God’s purpose in the creation of men and women.
The Old Testament talks about how marriage is meant to be important, though it also says that a man can divorce his wife if he gives her a notice of divorce in Deuteronomy 24 verses 1-4- but – it doesn’t say anything about women who want to divorce their husbands.
