“Go Band!” There on the Tiger’s football field the parents were yelling, cheer leaders cheering, and football players jumping and hollering, like crazy monkeys. Just before half time of the game (our team losing as always), the uniformity of purple and gold marches down the football field and began playing the cadence that made the people dance on the bleachers. In the crowd of nervous musicians, is a girl, who never thought she would work so hard to just play an instrument, the clarinet. Being in band gave me responsibility, self discipline, and focus. Band also taught me how to set goals and how to accomplish them. Band gave me the characteristics that I never thought would ever have. Learning an instrument is not something that a person can perfect in a day. It takes a great deal of hard work; especially, when you want to be the best.
