The flood in Gilgamesh lasted for a much shorter time than the one in the Bible. The water in the Bible came from the sky as well as from the ground while the water in Gilgamesh was only rain. Also the gods in Gilgamesh seemed much more upset seeing what they had done to their people than God in the Bible did. ... However the gods in both stories regretted what they did and God in the Bible promised to never do it again.
