Has anyone ever told you that being an actor would be easy? ... For a while in my life I wanted to become an actor or singer but through college theatre courses I found out the hardships of the profession and never want to consider it again, unless it’s just handed to me of course.
According to Gordon Hunt, “for every one actor that gets hired for a part, fifty or a hundred or two hundred do not (Hunt 33). ... I couldn’t, that’s why in order to be a professional actor it is told you have to be insane. ... That might give you some hope, but remember what was said before, everyone wants to be an actor and only a slim few actually get to do it. ... You have no free time or a family life. ...
