Reasoning in Problem Solving
Reasoning in problem solving, in order to problem solve you must be able to reason. ... When faced with a problem we instinctively assess the problem, conclude our choices and the consequences of each, and then make a decision based on the facts.
Problem solving is defined as; “Applying critical thinking to achieve the goals and personal harmony that are important in our personal and professional lives” (Kirby, Goodpaster, and Levine, p 251).
Problem solving is a critical part of our personality. Be it at home or at work each of us must be able to problem solve. When faced with a situation in which it is unclear what to do we will take the steps necessary to think the problem out logically and come to the best conclusion.
