Compare and Contrast Beowulf and Macbeth

There are many ways that the Shakespeare’s Renaissance Tragic Hero Macbeth and the Anglo-Saxon Hero Beowulf are similar and different. From reading the two it showed that Beowulf was an epic hero and Macbeth was a tragic hero. Beowulf was basically a story of good vs. ... They both were ambitious but Beowulf’s ambition was for fame. I think Beowulf was very noble because his behavior thought out his life. When Beowulf heard that the great King Hrothgar and his knights were being attacked by the evil monster Grendel, he took 14 of his own men and sailed on a ship to King Hrothgar’s palace to face the evil monster Grendel.
