Pulse rate, is a measure of how fast the heart is beating. The heartbeat rate increases in response to signals from the nervous and endocrine systems, which monitor the entire body. A stopwatch is used while the heartbeat rate is measured in intervals of one minute. The hypothesis is: If a person performs vigorous exercise, then the heartbeat rate will increase much more in contrast to performing mild exercise.
The hypothesis was proven correct when the heartbeat rate for mild activity was 102 bpm and the heartbeat rate for vigorous activity was 162 bpm.
