HEY JUDE
Hey jude, don’t make it bad. ...
The speaker is talking to a male named Jude who is uncertain whether to love a certain female. ... Incidently, just as this song does [HEY JUDE being a song which serves the purpose of encouraging the listener to pull it off, to allow the love of a certain female] The song would make everything better because it would open Judes eyes to love by moving his sentiments and by providing him with courage as well. The speaker tells Jude "let her into your heart", which means to allow the love of the female into his life. We can tell that Jude is not happy with his situation at the time being, because he seems unable to let this female which he apparently loves into his life. ... This is what Jude needs in order to make his life better; change his perspective.
Hey jude, don’t be afraid. ...
Jude is afraid, he is unable to go through with it. Perhaps Jude has many uncertainties: his inability to love, lack of confidence to ask the female for her love, unpreparedness or his uncertainty of whether he actually loves her. ... In this case, I believe, the speaker wants Jude for him to get to know the female through the inside, to explore her feelings, and at the same to to stop taking everything so serious. Once Jude is comfortable with her he can make everything better.
And anytime you feel the pain, hey Jude, refrain,
Don’t carry the world upon your shoulders. ... The speaker tells Jude that whenever he feels pain he should refrain. ... The speaker tells Jude that only fools play it cool, by making their world a little colder. He wants Jude to open his eyes and face reality, not just to try and play it cool as if it didnt matter.
