Grace
“Have compassion on me, Lord, for I am weak. ... Because of your great compassion, blot out the stain of my sins” (Psalm 51:1)
The Psalms are full of Grace. ... As the aforementioned scripture proves, grace is not merely pardon for sin (although pardon is one of the major roles grace plays), but also a presentation to human beings the gifts of healing, rescuing, and redemption. We find throughout the Bible that there is nothing anyone can do to earn grace, because it is not based on worthiness, human merit, or religious observance. Rather, grace is based on God’s fidelity to His people and the faith of His people. Grace is a free gift that God bestows on all, not just those who are willing to accept it. “For grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people” (Titus 2:11).
