"The Year of the Heroic Guerrilla"
The year 1968 was a pivotal time in world politics, and Daniels takes the reader on a world tour of revolution and counterrevolution, from Saigon to Haight-Ashbury in his book. Fidel Castro first christened 1968 "The year of the heroic guerrilla," and the term has been used ever since. The author attempts to illustrate the unrest that covered the globe that year, and explain why it was such a pivotal time in history.
When first looking at this book, I did not realize so many of these events all happened in the same year.
