How many times have your dreams been deferred? How many of them have come true? Many people have passed through this, people with many dreams, almost all of them not coming true for some critical social conditions, others because they lost all kind of hope in making them true. You might question this, asking your self why? Why do these things happen? In my interpretation Lorraine Hansberry play “A Raisin in the Sun” reflects the out come of an African American family; a family that struggles to make their dreams come true, by holding their customs and moral bases together as a family. There dreams deferred for the opposition of a society that neglects their triumph. However Lorraine’s play not only shows how dreams are deferred but how a united family opposes their luck and fights back showing their strength and love. The ways Lorraine shows us how dreams become deferred are through a family. Each member of the Younger’s family have different kinds of dreams, starting from Walter Lee Younger the older son of the family, he is a man that has many dreams , hoping to give a better life to his wife and son including his mother and sister.
