Since tea is being drunk everywhere in the world, it has got many fascinating cultures, too. China is the mother country of tea. China has a suitable climate and a good geographical location, so various kinds of tea are made in different areas. The relationship of China and tea goes back to over two thousand years ago, and tea began to be known throughout the world because of China. From then on, tea has become the major export of China along with silk. Tea was first exported to Japan, Iran and India in the Han Dynasty, as a high-class drink for the court. Then, the Dutch merchants made tea spread throughout Europe in the seventeenth century.
