Many theories surround the shocking death of rock legend Jimi Hendrix. Although the cause of death is evident, the reason this icon died this way is not so obvious. The mafia, FBI, loan sharks, angry managers, and a new girlfriend could all possibly be responsible for the death of this star.

Most critics assumed that Hendrix committed suicide. All those acquainted with Hendrix said that he seemed happy at the time of his death, and that he was not careless with drugs. In an interview with Noel Redding, the bass player for The Jimi Hendrix Experience, he says that he has heard several stories about his band member’s death. He mentioned that some LSD Hendrix had taken may have been laced with strychnine, or that someone may have put downers in the red wine Hendrix drank at the party that morning. Redding clearly states that there is no way Hendrix could have mistakenly taken too many sleeping pills.
