One would think that Bartleby is a character of an emotionally void persona, representative of emptiness, showing nothing to express any personality at all and being subject to the criticisms of the other characters. However, I will illustrate how Bartleby is actually a complex and intriguing individual, which would otherwise be difficult to distinguish considering the accommodation the other characters have for him.
