The Hidden Adventure “Hurry up, lets go Jamie.” My sister yelled as she grabbed out phony treasure map and headed for the door, “lets go exploring.” I had just eaten Thanksgiving dinner and was ready for an adventure. I grabbed my socks and boots and took off out the door. I am the middle child of three kids, and the only boy. Amanda is the oldest and Jessi is the youngest. I was a little weary of bringing Jessi along on this journey but Amanda insisted that Jessi could hold her own. We talked about the map we had made earlier as we walked down our driveway. Jessi, the seven year old was holding the map upside down. Amanda flipped the map over and pointed to the “X”. That’s where the treasure is! We live on a large farm and across the road; there are about two hundred acres of nothing but woods and swamp. We had been over there before, but never down into the swamp. Being such the daredevil that I am, I placed the “X” directly in the center of the swamp. It was the beginning of winter, so I wasn’t as afraid of snakes as I would have been if it were summer.
