Bell’s article was good in that it tried to show why color lines still exist. He states that a lot of people believe that with education the problem of racism should disappear or at least diminish. ... I other words, that whites-once given a true understanding of the evils of racial discrimination, once able to feel how it harms blacks-would find it easy, or easier, to give up racism” (Bell, 400). ... There’s always going to be that color line no matter what happens and no matter how much education an individual gets, we’re never going to be categorized with the whites because of the conflict theory which I’m about to explain in further detail. ... ” My point intended is that color lines in my point of view will always exist.
