When all of the Jewish workers in his enamel factory are taken to a Nazi concentration camp, Oskar must find a way to save their lives. At risk are not only the company's livelihood, but also the lives of his friends and workers to the brutality of the holocaust. After seeing the owner of the camp where his workers live shoot prisoners for not walking fast enough, or just because, Oskar takes matters into his own hands.
